Havre Police Department

A Monday 10:42 a.m. caller at a First Street West business reported a break-in over the weekend.

A man was reported assaulted at work at 13th Avenue and Fifth Street Monday at 12:18 p.m.

--

Scott Earl Smith of Havre, 42, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a state District Court warrant served at the police station Monday at 1:25 p.m.

A shoplifter was reported at a First Street business Monday at 3:56 p.m.

--

A summons was issued while officers were assisting another agency on Boulevard Avenue Monday at 6:44 p.m. No information on charges was provided.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Leonard Billy of Box Elder, 62, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served Monday at 9:57 a.m. on U.S. Highway 87.

Lance Anthony Pitkanen of Havre, 40, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served Monday at 1:29 p.m. at Hill County Detention Center.

An arrest was made on a warrant served at the detention center Monday at 5:53 p.m., but no details on charges were provided.

Montana Highway Patrol

Troopers along with sheriff's deputies and Havre Fire Department responded to a Monday at 7:15 p.m. report of a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 2 East near mile marker 289. No one was available to provide information, but Havre Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said one person was injured and transported to the hospital.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency Medical technicians responded to six calls Monday and one call early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a shed fire reported at 6:45 p.m. Monday on the 900 Block of Boulevard Avenue. The fire was contained to the shed and its contents causing a total of about $7,000 damage. Because the fire was human caused, investigation was turned over to Havre police.

Firefighters responded Monday at 7:18 p.m. in conjunction with an ambulance to a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 2 East. The fire crew provided support and traffic control at the scene.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one 8-week-old kitten of unknown gender, seven male cats, four female cats and one male 23-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held nine mixed-breed dogs, a female 21-week old mixed breed puppy, a male 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy. Additionally, four 9-week-old shepherd puppies and a male mixed-breed dog were being housed off-site.
