Northstars sweep the Great Falls Chargers

Havre's Tanner Delarosa pitches against the Great Falls Chargers at Legion Field Sunday. The Northstars won both games against the Chargers to start conference play 2-0 and improve their overall record to 6-4 this season.

On Sunday at Legion Field, the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball club got back in action with a doubleheader against the Great Falls Chargers A team. As the Northstars continue to get acclimated early in the season, they played well to win both games by scores of 14-2 and 8-5.

"We swung the bats really well. That was one thing that got us going," Havre head coach Patch Wirtzberger said. "Struggled a little bit in the second game to make plays and throw strikes but we found a way to pull it out so, overall, it was a good day."
