City Council Ordinance Committee to look at urban chickens

Havre City Council during their monthly meeting Monday evening scheduled a meeting of their ordinance committee to examine the possibility of allowing people to own chickens in town.

The council also also declared the vacancy of the council seat previously filled by Josh Miller, who died unexpectedly last month.

Council President Andrew Brekke said they are in a unique situation with Miller's seat, as he was appointed to it after Kimberly Bolta won it in the 2021 election, but resigned almost immediately after.
