Havre shuts out Lockwood in postseason opener

Havre football defeated Lockwood, 38-0, this past Friday to open the playoffs. The Blue Ponies now advance to the quarterfinals to face Dillon on the road.

The playoffs are here and the Havre High football team got to begin them at home at Blue Pony Stadium this past Friday night. And in front of their home fans, the Blue Ponies dominated in a 38-0 win over Lockwood to advance to the quarterfinals.

The Ponies got rolling early as a five-yard touchdown run from Trayden Riley gave them a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter. The Ponies kept it going to start the second quarter as Tate Nelson ran it in for a one-yard score to push the lead to 13-0.

Later in the half after a Lockwood fumble, Nelson continued to roll with a one-yard touchdown run....
