New snowfall totals more than half-a-foot near Havre
Snowdrifts line the barrow pit on Montana Secondary Highway 234 south of Havre this morning. The snow predicted last week did hit the area, with National Weather Service reporting more than 7 inches of snowfall falling at its reporting station at Havre City-County Airport from Wednesday through Sunday.
Winter returned to this region with a late-March snowstorm last week, with chances of light snow still in the forecast through the weekend, though with warmer temperatures.
National Weather Service reports that Havre received more than 7 inches of new snow from Wednesday through Sunday at the service's recording station at the Havre City County Airport.
Temperatures also plummetted, from a high of 67 last Monday to highs in the mid-20s from Thursday on and a low of 17 Friday.
While significant amounts of snow are not expected this week, chances of snow remain in the forecast today and Tuesday...
