A caller on Grant Avenue reported a domestic disturbance in progress at 8:23 a.m. Wednesday, and responding officers found no actionable disturbance.

A Rich Street West caller reported a scam Wednesday at 10:40 a.m.

Two children were reported to have been left unattended on Ninth Avenue at 11:11 a.m. Wednesday.

An 11:20 a.m. Wednesday caller on Fourth Street reported a puppy was locked in a black vehicle and showing distress. Responding officers found that a window had been left cracked open, but owner said they would start the vehicle and turn on the air conditioning.

A purse was reported stolen out of a vehicle center console on First Avenue Wednesday at 11:50 a.m.

A First Street Northeast asked Wednesday a 11:56 a.m. to speak with an officer about a partner of family member assault from last October.

Officers responded to an Eighth Street callers request Wednesday at 11:59 a.m. to speak with an officer about a neighbor.

--

A caller reported a wallet was found outside a Third Avenue business at 12:37 p.m. Wednesday.

A summons was issued after a Seventh Street caller reported Wednesday at 12:44 p.m. that a family member has stolen medication from the caller. No details on charges were provided.

A 14-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of underage tobacco possession or consumption after a caller at Havre Middle School reported a juvenile with a vape device Wednesday at 1:44 p.m.

A written or verbal warning was issued after Wednesday 2:05 p.m. caller reported five people loitering in front of a Second Street business.

Someone stopped at the police station at 2:53 p.m. Wednesday asking to speak with an officer.

Officers searched for but couldn't locate a man reported Wednesday at 3:21 p.m. to be looking in windows of a Third Street apartment.

Officers served a summons on Seventh Street at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday.

A 10th Street caller reported at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday that a light pole appeared to have been hit by a vehicle because there was broken glass and the pole was coming out of the ground.

Officers responded to a Wednesday 6:22 p.m. report of vehicles speeding on 14th Avenue.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a caller at a First Street business reported trespassers at 9:11 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers were asked Wednesday at 9:16 p.m. to perform a welfare check on someone on Sixth Street and found no problems.

Officers investigated a Wednesday 9:19 p.m. report of about seven people engaging in a street fight on 14th Street.

A Ninth Avenue caller reported at 12:47 a.m. today that a crossbow had been stolen.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies searched for but couldn't locate a semitractor-trailer reported Wednesday at 9:44 a.m. to be broken down and parked without room enough to pull fully off the road five miles east of Kremlin.

Suspicious activity was reported near a Box Elder business Wednesday at 11:49 a.m., but no actionable incident was found.

Deputies were asked Wednesday at 12:39 p.m. to perform inspections on Old Post Road.

--

A 14-year-old boy was issued a summons on a charge of minor in possession of marijuana after a caller at Box Elder Schools reported a drug offense Wednesday a 2:44 p.m.

An arrest was made on a warrant served at Hill County Detention Center at 3 p.m. Wednesday, but no details on charges were provided.

--

A 3:09 p.m. Wednesday burglar alarm at a Box Elder establishment was found to be a false alarm.

Deputies searched for but couldn't locate a vehicle reported Wednesday at 9:02 p.m. parked in the way at County roads 639 West and 637 West.

Trista Ann Houle of Chester, 40, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault and assault, after an assault was reported by Liberty County Wednesday at 10:35 p.m. near the Liberty and Hill county line.

Deputies responding Wednesday at 11:25 p.m. to a domestic disturbance on U.S. Highway 2 East helped resolve the incident peacefully.

--

A 911 call at 12:57 a.m. today from someone needing their blood sugar checked at a 34th Avenue West facility was referred by dispatch to the facility staff.

Havre Fire Department had no calls in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held two 10-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, four female cats, three male cats and a 21-week-old male kitten.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held eight mixed-breed puppies between 9 weeks and 7 months old, six female and one male mixed-breed dogs, and one female German shepherd-cross dog. Additionally, five 10-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
