Celebrating history: Graduations, Fourth of July and fairs

Graduations continued this week 100 years ago in Havre, Montana. These two articles were printed on the front page of the June 4, 1924, Havre Daily Promoter.

EIGHTH GRADERS RECEIVE STATE DIPLOMAS

Thirty eighth grade graduates from the county schools and 20 from the parochial school received eighth grade diplomas after successfully passing the state examinations last week.

The county students are:

District 20-Martin Gillett, Edward Dolezal, Mary Gillett, Anna Hiller, Theresa Dolezal, Martha Sprague, Hortense Stephenson, Hazel Wullum.
