Russell Wells of Hingham, Montana, 63, passed away July 29th, 2024, from sudden heart failure.
Russ was born October 8th, 1960, in Glasgow, Montana, to Kenneth and Virginia (Sheldon) Wells. Russ grew up in Glasgow, Las Vegas, and Yakima.
Rusty was an avid baseball and basketball player through his high school years at Eisenhower High School in Yakima, Washington.
Russ married the love of his life, Susan Mitzel, December 24th, 1980. They started a family while Russ attended the JM Perry Technical Institute to earn his certificate in refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning. They both worked in the Seattle area before moving back to Montana in 1993. Once in Hingham, they started Blue Sky Heating and Air Conditioning, a company that Russ successfully ran until his passing.
Russ enjoyed watching his children grow up in the small-town atmosphere of Hingham. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, stock car racing, and spending time with his family.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Virginia Wells.
Russ is survived by his wife, Susan;children, Heather (Jeremy) May of Bozeman, Montana, Jennifer (Ivan) VanDessel of Joplin, Montana, and Ryan (Jen) Wells of Spokane, Washington; five grandchildren, Avalee and Hudson VanDessel, Jadi and Hunter May and Brady Wells.
His stories and willingness to help out anyone in need will be missed by many.
A celebration of life will be held at the Hingham Park at 1 p.m. September 1st, 2024, where we also will be remembering his mother, Virginia Wells.
