Obituary - Marvin William 'Booba' Melby

Marvin William “Booba” Melby has joined  his wife Rosie and all his pups September 6,  2024.

He was born to John and Beulah Melby September 29th, 1943.  He had eight siblings and was proceeded in death by Raymond,  Millie, Arlen “Squeek,”  Lois, Charles ”Bud,”  Francis, Reatha “Reet” and David “Whitey” Melby.

He and Rosie are survived by Rosie’s three children, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild, along with many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was an excellent basketball player in his earlier years. After high school, he served four years in the U.S. Army, then was married to “Sis” Christophersen and they ran the Waterhole bar in Kremlin, Montana.

He then met his second wife and love of his life, Rosie. He was a roofer and a painter for most of his life. He was a dog lover, and enjoyed his many friends at the Tip It , Shanty and Palace, especially Jupe Compton.

A celebration of life with a pot luck gathering at the Tip It Bar in Havre will be Sunday, September  29th, at 12 p.m, which would have been his 81st birthday. Hope to see you all there.
