Whitetail buck shot in Beaver Creek County Park, wardens seeking information

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are seeking any information regarding a mature whitetail buck that was shot and left to waste in Beaver Creek County Park south of Havre. The park is closed to all hunting activity. 

Wardens received a report of the dead deer, which was found near the intersection of Eagle Rock Road and Highway 234 (Beaver Creek Highway). The deer was shot with a firearm, and likely killed between the evening of Nov. 5 and Nov. 6.  

Anyone with possible information about this incident is asked to visit https://tipmont.mt.gov to provide details, or call Warden Investigator Dirk Paulsen at 406-230-2277. Those who report information may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
