Letter to the Editor - Thanks to all on locomotive ornament

I want to express my sincere thanks to some people who contributed to completion of this years Christmas ornament showing GN2584, usually just known as “the old steam engine”. My interest in 2584 is probable connected to family railroad work going back to the 1930’s.

Earlier this year I was disappointed to see contractor’s fencing keeping Amtrak travelers from viewing the locomotive up close. by coincidence, I had been parked near the locomotive, and then made a stop at the Chamber of Commerce where I noticed the display of previous years ornaments.I was struck with the question if ornaments a...
