    An Anaconda man received three years probation Monday in District Court in Havre for punching his mother while visiting her in Hill County. Jeffrey Shuck, born in 1981, received a three-year deferred imposition of sentence for the offense of felony partner or family member assault, third or subsequent offense. The sentence was part of a plea deal and if Shuck abides by its conditions, he can have the offense struck off his record. The incident took place Dec. 10, 2015.     Havre homeowner Samantha Clawson suggested at Monday night’s Havre City Council meeting that the city adopt an ordinance aimed at curbing the number of vacant and dilapidated properties within the city. Clawson, who is married to city council member Caleb Hutchins, urged the city to consider adopting a vacant property registry ordinance, or VPRO.
