Great news! Beaver Creek Golf Course is back in business. BCGC announced on its Facebook Page earlier this week that it would re-open the course on Memorial Day after floodwaters from Beaver Creek has inundated the course earlier this month. Craig and Heidi said on Facebook that #7 and #16 would be a Par 3 for the time being as work still needs to be done to restore the course. The Frontier Conference isn’t sitting idly by. Instead, the league is changing with the times. And last week, The Frontier Conference Council of Presidents unanimously voted to accept Bellevue University, Dakota State University, Mayville State University, and Valley City State University as full conference members beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. Several area athletes reached the podium at last weekend’s Class C state track meet in Great Falls. In the girls’ 100-meter dash, Fort Benton’s Ally Jaques ran a personal-best 12.84, which was good for third place. Ali Doyle of Turner was a 200-meter podium placer, doing it in 27.42. For the fifth time in the last 20 years, the Chinook girls tennis team is back on top of the Class B-C ranks. Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Lynnea Moran to join the Skylights in the fall. Moran is a 5-5 guard from Hanford High School in Richland, Wash. Hanford High School competes in the Mid-Columbia Conference (MCC) at the 4A level.
