Tuesday, Sept. 27

Bullhook Blossoms Garden Club will meet at the Hill County Courthouse Timmons Room at 2 p.m. Guest speaker Kathy Waters to speak on Monarch butterflies. Hostess will be Janice Brady Bergren. Guests are welcome. For more information, call 265-2133.

Hill County Democratic Central Committee meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Eagles Club.

NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the basement at 921 Third St. For more information, call Crystal at 406-879-6646.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

Employee Recruitment and Retention workshop with Job Service will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Havre Inn & Suites. Presenters will look at solutions to finding and keeping employees from the employer and community aspects. Cost, meal included, is $40 per person and $20 per additional person from same organization. For more information or to preregister, call 265-5847.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, Sept. 29

Pizza Hut will be holding a fundraiser to help with medical expenses for Melissa Ruby. When people say they are contributing, 20 percent of the purchase price will go to Ruby’s fundraiser on dine-in, carry-out and delivery purchases.

Thursday Night Movies at Havre-Hill County Library will be showing "A Walk in the Woods" at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. Library events are free and open to the public.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Friday, Sept. 30

Ladies Advance, a nondenominational gathering for all area women, will be at Fifth Avenue Christian Church, 2015 Fifth Ave., from 4 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The fee of $20 pre-registered and $25 at the door will cover three meals. For more information or to preregister, call 265-7337.

Saturday, Oct. 1

Spuds & Stuff Luncheon & Fall Bazaar will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Fourth Ave. The public is invited to attend.

MSU-Northern Alumni Foundation Alumni Auction will begin at 6 p.m. at the MSU-N Student Union Building Ballroom.

Sunday, Oct. 2

St. Jude Harvest Dinner will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Jude Parish Center. Tickets for the turkey dinner, with coleslaw and pie, are $10 general admission, $5 for children 4-11, and children 3 and under free.

Monday, Oct. 3

Davey Elementary School board meeting will be 6 p.m. at the school.

Havre High School speech and debate parents meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in Room 28 at the high school.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

“Dueling Paintbrushes: George Catlin and Karl Bodmer on the Missouri” with Kristi Hager, an MSU-Northern Chancellor’s Lecture Series presentation, will be at the Applied Technology Center, Hensler Auditorium, at 7:30 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public. For more information, call Northern at 265-3700.

Parish Council of Catholic Women will meet at 7 p.m. at St. Jude Parish Center.

The Hi-Line Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Village Mall Community Center at 7 p.m.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
