Friday, Feb. 5

"Montana Towns and Rural Places: Then and Now," a Montana Hometown Humanities presentation by Hal Stearns, will be at 3 p.m. at North Central Senior Center, 2 2nd St. This program is free and open to the public.

Open skating hosted by Havre Youth Hockey at Havre Ice Dome will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. On nights that Glacier Nationals have a home game, this skate period ends at 7:15 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 6

The 83rd Annual Swedish Meatball and Norwegian Lutefisk Dinner will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at First Lutheran Church. Dinner also includes potatoes, gravy, lefse, coleslaw, cranberries, bun and sandbakkle with ice cream. Delivery available to shut-ins call 265-5881.

Sunday, Feb. 7

Cottonwood Farmers Union Local 145 will meet at 2 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 605-5th St. The public is welcome to attend.

Open skating hosted by Havre Youth Hockey, at Havre Ice Dome will be 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 8

The Bear Paw Chapter of retired teachers will meet at noon in the Duck Inn Vineyard Room. Vicky Warila, area manager for Youth Dynamics, will be the guest speaker. All retired teachers and interested people are invited to join us for the no-host luncheon.

AARP Foundations is offering free tax-aid and preparation for low to moderate income taxpayers of all ages at North Central Senior Center. For an appointment, call 265-5464.

The North Central Hangar of the Montana Pilots Association will hold its monthly meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. in the terminal at the Havre City-County Airport.

Friends of Beaver Creek Park monthly meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.

Tuesday, Feb. 9

"A Visit With Teddy Roosevelt" with Arch Ellwein, a Hometown Humanities presentation, will begin at 12:35 p.m. at Havre High School. The audience will meet the vibrant 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, portrayed by Ellwein talking about Roosevelt's experiences in Montana as a rancher and sportsman. This event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, Feb. 10

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, Feb. 11

Reading and author talk series will feature "Survivors Said" by Matt Pavelich at 4 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event, sponsored by Hometown Humanities, is free and open to the public.

Parenting Support Meeting of the Northern Montana Child Development Center with Darlene Sellers and Curtis Smeby runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Center Parents' Center, 1360 Lincoln Ave.

Pachyderm Club will meet at 11:15 a.m. at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room. Speaker will be Greg Gianforte, Republican candidate for governor. The public is welcome to attend.

Interviewing with Confidence workshop will be 9 a.m. to noon at Havre Job Service Center 160 1st Ave.

Dancing at the North Central Senior Center at 2 2nd St. W. begins at 7 p.m.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
