MSU-Northern golf team signs two-time all-state Browning golfer

Montana State University-Northern golf coach Chris Handley recently announced the signing of a two-time all-state golfer from Browning.

Chastity Wagner will begin playing for the Skylights this fall following a very successful high school career.

Wagner was a four-year letter winner that placed in the top ten of every regular season tournament she played in except her first high school tournament during her freshman year.

During her senior season, Wagner had nine top three finishes, including three consecutive wins at Browning, Columbia Falls, and Ronan which earned her Great Falls Tribune's "Athlete of the Week" honors. Wagner, an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne tribe and descendant of the Blackfeet tribe, was also a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.54 GPA, and received Academic All-State honors in golf, volleyball, and basketball.

"Chastity is just one of those all around great kids," Handley said. "I first discovered Chastity through her golfing accomplishments, but ended up getting the package deal. She is exactly the type of young lady that will help us continue our tradition of great student athletes for Skylights golf."

Chastity is the daughter of Tony and Jennifer Wagner of Browning, and Lisa Spotted Wolf of Lame Deer.
