MSU-Northern's Nicholas earns Frontier volleyball POW

The Montana State University-Northern volleyball team is on a roll. And for the second time in a month, a Skylight has been rewarded for her efforts.

junior Abby Nicholas was named Frontier Conference Player of the Week, becoming the second MSU-N player to earn the honor this season.

Nicholas is a 6-foot junior middle hitter from Sandy, Utah. Northern stayed unbeaten in conference play with wins over Rocky (3-1) and Dickinson State (3-0) this past weekend at the Armory Gymnasium.

Nicholas averaged four kills per set with an attack percentage of .429. She averaged one dig, .86 aces, and one assisted block per set. In the two MSU-N wins, she totaled 28 kills and six aces. She also had four solo blocks.

Also nominated: Anna Dewald of Rocky Mountain, Kimmy Kavran of Montana Tech, Brea Mitchell of Montana Western, Kenzie Mitchell of Westminster College and Niurka Toribio of Lewis-Clark State.
