Box Elder hires Havre area coaches

Jake Eldridge, Autumn Elliot named new football, volleyball coaches at Box Elder

Former Montana State University-Northern defensive coordinator and head coach Jake Eldridge was recently named to be the head coach of the Box Elder High School football team. Eldridge was an all-star defensive back for the Lights before serving as a coach for nearly a decade, including two different stints as interim head coach. Eldridge takes over the Box Elder program from Neal Rosette, who helped guide the Bears to the Class C Six-Man state championship game back in 2015. Box Elder also recently named former MSU-Northern volleyball standout Autumn Elliot as its new head volleyball coach.

The Montana high school sports season officially came to a close last weekend with state tournaments and track meets closing out the final season of the 2017-18 school year.

However, just before the school year ended, the Box Elder Bears announced a couple of head-coaching hires, as Box Elder filled vacancies in both football and volleyball, according to a press release by athletic director Neal Rosette Jr., which was sent out last week.
