Name of Wednesday crash victim released

Hill County Sheriff and Coroner Jamieson Ross has released the name of the man killed when his semitrailer rolled on Montana Secondary Highway 488 Wednesday.

Brian Joseph Ayers of Willison, N.D., born in 1978, was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash Wednesday.

Montana Highway Patrol reports Ayers was driving a 2004 Kenworth northbound near Mile Marker 21 when the vehicle went off the road on the west side. Ayers attempted to correct and the vehicle rolled, coming to rest on its top.

He was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol, drugs and speed are not suspected to be a factor in the crash. The roads were bare and dry.
