Havre Police Department

A 7:52 a.m. Wednesday caller from Fourth Street asked to speak with an officer about a theft, forgery or fraud.

James David Berger Jr. of Havre, 40, was arrested on a pick up and hold order during a vehicle stop on U.S. Highway 2 West Wednesday at 1:08 p.m.

--

A caller on Third Street West reported Wednesday at 1:38 p.m. that items were stolen from a storage unit.

--

Jon Scott Stimson of Havre, 54, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation after another agency asked for assistance Wednesday at 4:04 p.m.

A 10th Street West caller reported at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday two bikes were stolen.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Christopher Paul Hammond of Hingham, 20, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and no vehicle insurance during a vehicle stop Wednesday at 8:31 p.m. near River Road.

Mark Thomas Simanton of Box Elder, 58, was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, after being escorted from Rocky Boy Detention Center to Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 10:12 p.m.

Frank James Saddler of Box Elder, 30, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, driving without vehicle insurance, fleeing or eluding a peace officer, expired registration and habitual traffic offender, and on four Justice or City court warrants, during a vehicle stop on Main Street in Box Elder at 1:15 a.m. today.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday and two calls this morning.

Firefighters responded to a report of possible smoke on the 900 Block of First Street at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, but it turned out to be steam venting from the building.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two medium-hair cats and one long-hair cat all of unknown gender, two short-hair female cat, one medium-hair male cat and one long-hair female cats, along with 12 feral cats for its spay/neuter and release program.

The Havre shelter this morning also held a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler-border collie dog, a male Labrador retriever-hound 21-week-old puppy, a female mixed-breed dog, a female mixed-breed 6-month-old puppy, a male German shepherd 26-week-old puppy, a male mixed-breed 6-month-old puppy, a female mixed-breed 10-month-old puppy, a male Labrador retriever-border collie 6-month-old puppy and a female mixed-breed dog.
