Shoe collection started for 2019 Back to School Bash

The Back to School Bash event is beginning to look for donations with a shoe drive for this year's event.

This year will be the third annual Back to School Bash and will be held Aug. 24.

The activities are in conjunction with the Salvation Army's Back to School Bash, which supplies backpacks and school supplies for low-income families as well as providing free shoes, haircuts, carnival games, lunch and a guest speaker.

"So just kind of a fun day for kids," event organizer Christy Edmonds said.
