Havre Middle School lists students of the month

Havre Middle School's Sixth-Grade Student of the Month for September is Carter Chagnon.

Carter is the son of Gary and Ashlee Chagnon. He has one brother, Gannon Chagnon.

At the middle school Carter plays the trumpet in the school band. Outside of school, Carter participates in baseball and enjoys shooting his airsoft gun. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and camping with family.

Carter is an amazing student all around. His teachers commend him on his eagerness to learn and his upbeat enthusiasm. He also demonstrates strong organizational skills and is always prepared to learn. His overall positivity and kindness displays the HMS' middle school spirit.

In the future Carter plans to work for BNSF.

September's Seventh-Grade Student of the Month at HMS is Porter Blackwell.

Porter's parents are Ryan and Brandy Blackwell. He has three siblings, Brighton, Grayden and Hyrum Blackwell.

At Havre Middle School, Porter works hard to maintain a high GPA. Outside of school, he is very active in his church youth group and loves to read books. In his spare time Porter likes to bake sweets and spends time playing games with family.

Porter is an extremely respectful student who exceeds all expectations. His positive attitude is appreciated by everyone around him. His dedication to school models what "Pony Pride" looks like at the Middle School.

In the future Porter's goals are to attend BYU and later open a bakery.

HMS Eighth-Grade Student of the Month for September is Maggie Daniels.

Maggie is the daughter of Dale and Tasha Daniels. She has four siblings, Daniel, Dale Jr., Gabriela and Jeremiah Daniels.

Maggie is a very active student who participates in track, football, Spotlighters and Jazz Band. She also strives to excel academically and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. In addition to school, Maggie is involved in her church's youth group and loves spending time with family and friends.

Teachers commend Maggie on how she works to her fullest potential at all times. Maggie's hard work and ability to take on any responsibility make her a huge asset in her classes. She shows every aspect of HMS' "Code of Character" in everything she does at the middle school.

Maggie aspires to attend a medical school and become a surgeon.
