A cross is carried down Fifth Avenue Friday in the Walk of the Cross, a commemoration of Good Friday over the Easter weekend. The event is a long tradition in Havre with members of the local clergy and area residents participating in the carrying the cross. The interdenominational group every year marches through Havre on Good Friday to mark the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
