This is a historic week. Ninety-three years ago, women gained the right to vote. My grandmothers were young adult women at the time and had no say in who represented them. This is hard to fathom. Wednesday is the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. African-Americans demonstrated to get their rights, among them, the right to vote.
