Wednesday, May 4

The Havre Strings Program will have its spring recital at 6 p.m. at Fifth Avenue Christian Church. Students of Melanie Pozdol will perform, and refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, May 5

A Cole Keller Pizza Hut fundraiser to help send him to Australia to play football with Down Under Sports. A portion of all sales will be donated if customers mention the fundraiser.

The Havre Middle School bands and jazz bands will present their Spring “Pops” and “Costume” Concert at 7 p.m. at the middle school. The concert is free, and everyone is welcome.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Fort Assiniboine Genealogy Society will meet at 7 p.m. at the LDS Family History Center, located at the corner of Washington Avenue and 13th Street West. Sylvia Murray and Virginia Naber will discuss death records. All interested people are invited to attend.

Friday, May 6

Pachyderm Club will meet at noon at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room for a no-host luncheon. Speaker will be Mike Sherwood, chief Border Patrol agent of Havre Sector. The public is invited.

Saturday, May 7

Havre High Class of 1996 Reunion Planning Committee Meeting at 2 p.m. at Murphy's Pub. Any classmates that would like to attend are welcome. For more information, call or text Dan at 399-0467.

Hill County 4-H raffle tickets for a 2015 Flex Travel Trailer, donated by Western Trailer Sales, will be sold at Marigolds for Moms and North 40 this day. Funds raised will go toward the new Hill County 4-H Chuckwagon.

The Havre Community Pool will be closed this day. For more information call 265-8161.

Sunday, May 8

Mother's Day Brunch, sponsored by Havre Elks Lodge, will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 321 2nd St. Access is through the back door. The menu is eggs, sausage links, pancakes and fruit cocktail.

Monday, May 9

American Red Cross blood drive will be 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at St. Jude Parish Center, 440 7th Ave. To make an appointment to give blood, download the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit http://www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS, 1-800-733-2767.

The North Central Hangar of the Montana Pilots Association will hold its monthly meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. in the terminal at the Havre City-County Airport.

Friends of Beaver Creek Park monthly meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
