Havre Middle School registration, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., for all sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students accompanied by a parent or guardian. A $6 fee will be charged for required supplies and ID. All students need to be current on immunizations. For info, call 395-8552.

Bears Paw Babes Chapter of the Red Hat Society meeting, 11:15 a.m., The Pro.

Story Time, 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Havre-Hill County Library. Free, and public is welcome.

Thursday, Aug. 24

Solving Life's Problems of Aging with Mediation, 3 - 4 p.m., HRDC Building. Cost of this class is $20 and one can of food for the food bank. Call LaDawn Whiteside, 406-437-2090, for info.

Friday, Aug. 25

Sobriety Campout, this day through Sunday, Lions Campground in Beaver Creek Park. Alcohol- and drug-free families welcome. For info call 262-2086.

Saturday, Aug. 26

Havre Trails Parker Canyon Hike, 8 a.m., meet at Bear Paw Lake in Beaver Creek Park for a short presentation by Chippewa Cree tribal elder, caravan to Parker Canyon trail head on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation, 4-mile hike.

Havre Trails Summer Brewfest, 4 - 9 p.m., Pepin Park, featuring Montana brews and vendor food, live music by the Nick Crawford Band and a demonstration by Hill County Homebrewers. Proceeds will go toward trail projects in Havre and the area.

Havre Trap Club Moonlight Shoot, 8 p.m., with meat shoots and fun shoots.

Tootsie Roll Drive with Knights of Columbus, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Havre businesses. Proceeds will benefit Havre Day Activity Center.

Saturday Market, 8 a.m. - noon, Town Square.

Tuesday, Aug. 29

Lincoln-McKinley Primary School "Meet and Greet," either 11:30 a.m. - noon, or noon - 12:30 p.m. Parents and guardians can attend either half-hour session with teachers about goals, curriculum and classroom procedures.

Wednesday, Aug. 30

Havre Trap Club Fall League begins, 5 p.m. League ends Sept. 27.

Books and Babies, 10:15 a.m., Havre-Hill County Library. Free, and public is welcome.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
