Thursday, Sept. 3

Havre High Class of 1965 50th Class Reunion will meet for breakfast at MSU-Northern SUB.

Practice singing the Havre Central and Havre High School songs at the Fossil Festival will be at 7 p.m. next to Grateful Bread in the Atrium Mall. Anyone is welcome. For more information, call Francine at 265-7635.

Walking Grief's Path to Healing, a support group for anyone who has lost a loved one, will meet at Havre-Hill County Library at 2 p.m. For more information, call Shirley Campbell at 265-5135.

Friends of Havre-Hill County Library will meet at noon at the library meeting room. The annual Festival Days Book Sale is on the agenda. For more information, call 265-2123.

Lego Time and Robotics will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Friday, Sept. 4

Fossil Festival begins 10 a.m. at Great Northern Fairgrounds. Tours of Havre High and Central schools are 3 to 5 p.m ., Happy Hour is 4 p.m. at Bigger Better Barn, food 5 to 7 p.m ., and music and dancing 7 p.m.

HHS Class of 1970 will get together during the Fossil Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. on the midway area of the fairgrounds; look for the sign.

HHS Class of 1962 will meet at 4 p.m. at 15 West.

Saturday, Sept. 5

Fossil Festival continues at Great Northern Fairgrounds. Grand stand event is at 2 p.m ., Happy Hour 4 p.m ., barbecue 5 p.m. and music 7 p.m.

A kid's carnival, hosted by the Bullhook Bombshells Women's Roller Derby, is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pepin Park. The fundraiser event will include many fun games, face painting, snacks and a 50/50 raffle. To inquire, join the team or help out, call (707) 951-6679.

Saturday Market at Town Square is 8 a.m. to noon with vendors selling produce, prepared foods, art, crafts and more.

Monday, Sept. 7

The wheat sculpture by Willard Vaughn which is being raffled to raise money for Hill County 4-H is on display this week at Holden’s Hot Wheels. Tickets can be purchased at this location or by calling Willard Vaughn, 945-0585, or Karla Vaughn, 945-0586 or 394-2214. The drawing will be 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at Holiday Village Mall.

Tuesday, Sept. 8

Out of the Darkness Walk, a suicide awareness event, will begin with registration at 7 p.m. on the MSU-Northern campus between the gym and library. An opening presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. People are encouraged to wear purple or teal in honor of suicide awareness.

Fort Assinniboine Preservation Association will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library.

Havre Trap Club monthly meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the trap club, east off 5th Avenue south of Havre. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Havre Chapter of the Montana Landlord Association will meet at the Havre-Hill County Library. All area landlords are encouraged to attend. Guests are welcome. Any questions call 265-9363.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

Chancellor's Lecture Series at MSU-Northern is proud to present the Montana Repertory Theatre's "Growing Up in Wonderland," a story written by Jillian Campana and inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m ., at the Hensler Auditorium in Northern’s Applied Technology Center. The performance is free and open to the public. Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This week's theme is Grandparents Day, and kids will be making a gift for grandparents. The event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Thursday, Sept. 10

Fall Series Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library to discuss "Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery. Discussion Leader will be Will Rawn. This event is free, and everybody is welcome. Refreshments will be provided.

The District 4 HRDC Board of Directors will meet at 6:30 p.m ., in the Activity Room of HRDC located at 2229 5th Ave. Use the north door entrance. The public is invited to attend.

Dancing at the North Central Senior Center at 2 2nd St. W. begins at 7 p.m.

Artist’s Reception for Kellie Kimball’s show “Waking Dreams” will be 6 to 8 p.m. at Artitudes Gallery on the upper Level of the Atrium. Kimball's work, in watercolor, acrylics, colored pencils and graphite pencil, leans heavily into surrealism, with hints of impressionism. The public is invited to come for refreshments, live music and an opportunity to meet the artist.

Saturday, Sept. 12

Havre Trap Club will have a moonlight shoot starting at 8 p.m. at the trap club, east off 5th Avenue south of Havre. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Finnish Folk Music Concert will begin at 2 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Boosting the Immune System to prevent colds and flu will be 4 p.m. at the Pollington Healing Institute inside the Book Exchange – Emporium in the Atrium Mall, This class, taught by Sue Pollington Certified Master Herbalist and Certified Master Aromatherapist, will focus on ways to stay well with the change of season, return to school and increased stress. Monday, Sept. 14

Pep Talk Series 2015 "Interviewing Insights," part of a free weekly discussion on higher education, career preparation and financial literacy, will be 6:30 to

8 p.m. at the HRDC building. This program will cover interview strategies, potential questions and professional image. For more information, call 265-6743, ext. 1197.

Tuesday, Sept. 15

The St. Mary Rehabilitation Working Group will meet from 10 a.m. to noon in the Havre City Hall meeting room.

Hill County Democratic Party will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Havre Eagles Club. Nancy Keenan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party, will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend the potluck.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

Comedy Show, with Kasey Nicholson, Supaman and Donovan Archambault, will be 6 to 9 p.m. at the Stone Child College gym. Admission is free.

Recycle Hi-Line will meet at 7 p.m. at the Hill County Electric Hospitality Room at 2121 U.S. Highway 2 NW.

Don't you have the Bullnanzacoming to your area soon? Sure can't find any info. on it and Havre/Hill County has a lot of cowboys.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
