Sugarbeet Festival

Sugarbeet Parade buzzes by

The 10th Annual Chinook Sugarbeet Festival saw a little bit of rain over the weekend, but people still lined the streets to watch the parade Saturday.

Montana Actors' Theatre, FFA and political campaigners were a few of the floats that took part in the parade, passing out candy and entertaining the people.

The parade was honey bee themed, in honor of Blaine County's bee industry, and contestants of the lookalike contest, where the best-dressed bee, bee box or beekeeper were voted on, populated the floats and street.

Along the sides of Indiana Street, the parade's main route, vendors sold various goods like arts and crafts and food.

Despite the rain, attendees of the Sugarbeet Festival were treated to a full weekend of events to celebrate the town.
