Bob was born in Havre on Feb. 12, 1948, to Arthur and Valerie (Miller) Brix.  He was raised in Havre, attending school there. In 1966, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served until his honorable discharge in 1969, having served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Following his military discharge, Bob returned to Havre and married Teri Blackner in April 1970.  The couple's union was blessed with four children, whom they raised in Havre. Bob began working for the Great Northern Railroad in April 1969, and he continued his work on the railroad, retiring from BNSF after 30 years of service.

Bob was a kind, generous man who enjoyed collecting and shooting firearms, reloading his own ammunition, caring for his dogs and cats, and feeding the wildlife that wandered into the couple's yard, but he absolutely loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Jason in 1995; his parents. Arthur and Valerie Brix; and his cousin, Sue Axton.

He is survived by Teri, his beloved wife of 44 years, of Havre; his sons, Scotty and Matt Brix, both of Havre; his daughter, Lisa (Kelly) Harris of Havre; his granddaughter, Laiken Harris of Havre; his grandsons, Connor and Carson Harris, both of Havre; his brother, Terry (Susan) Brix of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
