Local Bowling Report: Not too early to sign up for New Years Eve Jackpot at Hi Line Lanes

Although New Year’s Eve is a little more than a month away, bowlers may sign up early for the Jackpot held on that night. This year the starting time has been moved up to 7:30 p.m. so at midnight people will be able to enjoy the coming of the new year. A new wrinkle is going to be tried for that day with families being able to bowl 1-5 p.m. Anyone wanting to bowl in either one of these events should call Hi Line Lanes at 265-5885.

We have had some interest in starting a Monday Night High School League — or a Junior-Adult League, also on Mondays. Anyone interested can call the lanes.

It is that time of year when the weather plays a drastic role on bowling balls that are kept in the automobile from week to week. If you don’t have a locker, make sure you take your ball inside your house to avoid severe damage to it.

There will be no Ten Pin Chatter next week as this writer is having complete knee replacement Nov. 18. I hope to be back by the next week.
