Callan Gobin, above, goes to throw out a baserunner on Saturday at the Havre Youth Baseball Association's Majors league tournament. Cobin is a member of the Athlete's Foot team, which won the tournament with a 6-5 win over Lions in the championship game at Lions Field.
Despite some rising temperatures, the weather was beautiful in Havre over the weekend, which made the conditions picture perfect for the championship of the Havre Youth Baseball Association Majors league.
The Majors tournament began last Thursday and continued until Saturday, when the Lions team challenged Athlete’s Foot for the championship. And in a classic battle, the Athlete’s Foot team held off a late rally from Lions to take home a 6-5 win and the Majors title.
