Fake cop tries to enter homes

Someone dressed in black and wearing a mask is posing as a police officer and attempting to enter the homes of city residents.

Havre police urge people to beware of any such suspicious activity and to promptly call police.

Police said the incidents occurred Thursday night: One at 17th Street West, the other at 16th Street West.

The man posing as an officer claimed to have a search warrant and at one of the residences waved something that looked like a badge.
