Correction: NorthWestern Energy-Havre Pipeline

In front-page stories in the March 21 and 29 editions of the Havre Daily News, it was misreported that the Montana Public Service Commission had said in an order that “since 2013, when NorthWestern Energy purchased 82 percent ownership of Havre Pipeline, the quality of service has diminished considerably.” The report in question actually said, “since NorthWestern became majority owner of Havre Pipeline, a significant decline in service has not occurred.”

Eric Sell, spokesperson for the PSC said that the service had been deteriorating as the gas wells lost pressure, a trend that started before NorthWestern bought its share in Havre Pipeline.
