Obituary - Carmen Sylvia Turner

Carmen Sylvia Turner, 93, of Havre passed away of natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital on the morning of April 17, 2016.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with Deacon Timothy Maroney officiating. Her funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at St. Jude Thaddeus Church with Father Daniel Wathen officiating.

The family has suggested that memorials in Carmen's name be made to Meals On Wheels of North Central Senior Center at 2 2nd St. W., Havre, MT 59501, or the charity of the donor's choice.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Carmen was born on Dec. 29, 1922, in Havre, Montana. She was the only child of Adolph and Martha (Passon) Wieczorek. She was raised and educated in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1942. She married Clarence (Cliff) Turner on May 27, 1944. The couple farmed in the Clear Creek area until the time of her death.

Carmen loved to dance, play cards, sing, camp and take pictures.

She was quite the "shutterbug." Carmen was very musical, playing the accordion and the harmonica. She had a great sense of humor and loved her farm animals, especially her cats. She took great pleasure in helping feed the harvest crew. You were sure to never leave her house with an empty stomach or wothout a good story to tell.

Carmen was preceeded in death by her parents, Adolph and Martha; her husband, Clifford; and her son, Eldon.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (John) Bagley of Helena, Montana; her sons, Loren (Rita) Turner of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, and Terry (Aaron) Turner of Havre, Montana; grandchildren, Christen (Kevin) Turner and Jamie Kurtz of Helena, Montana, Dustin Turner of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Ashley (Ryan) Olinyk of Ramsey, Minnesota, Aricka (Cody) Miles of Gillette, Wyoming, and Paul (Amber) Turner of Havre, Montana; and great-grandchildren, Jade and Nate Turner, Casey Miles and Logan Olinyk.
