Speech coaches needed for B/C state

For the second week in a row, Montana State University-Northern is hosting a major speech, debate and drama event, and the organizers of the State Class B/C tournament is hoping the region will again step up to help with the event.

People interested in judging at the tournament can visit its Facebook page, State B/C Speech and Drama 2017, facebook.com/state2017, or email Chinook High School head coach Bonnie Ortner at [email protected]. She said people who don’t have Internet access could call her at 357-2236, ext. 232, and she will return their calls as soon as possible.

The tournament will bring the top B/C competitors in speech and drama to compete at Northern’s campus Friday and Saturday this week.

Water meters updated, replaced

The city of Havre Public Works and Water departments will be updating and replacing water meters in certain areas of town for the next few months.

People who are contacted to have their water meter replaced and have any questions can contact the Public Works Department at 265-4941.

Little Shell Tribe’s quarterly meeting set

GREAT FALLS — The Little Shell Tribal Quarterly Meeting will be held Saturday in Great Falls.

The event will be held at the Little Shell Tribe’s Cultural Center in the Event Center at 1529 Stuckey Road.

The quarterly meeting starts at 11 a.m. with lunch provided after. These quarterly meetings are to inform members of the business of the Little Shell Tribe and to give information on upcoming events.
