Local News - Deadline extended on LIEAP applications

People have an extension to apply for assistance with heating costs this year.

Due to the original deadline date, April 30, falling on a Sunday, the last day to process a Low Income Energy Assistance Program application for issuance of a 2016-2017 heating assistance benefit is Monday, May 1.

The agency will process all LIEAP applications postmarked or received by 5 p.m., May 1, 2017.

The envelope with the postmark of May 1 must be retained in the client file.
