Northern football puts on a spirited Spring Game
Montana State University-Northern tight end Beau Wilhelm makes a touchdown catch during MSU-N's Spring Game Saturday afternoon in Havre. The game was a success for the Lights on offense and defense and it also brought Northern's 2017 spring drills to a close. The Lights will return in August to prepare for their season-opener Sept. 2 at Rocky Mountain College.
If there was one word to describe the Montana State University-Northern football team’s spring game, it was competition. Because the roughly hour-long battle between the offense and the defense was competitive every step of the way.
There were big plays on both sides of the ball, but at the end of the day, the defense scored more points in the scoring system and won the scrimmage 33-31.
