Justice Court: April 2017

The following cases were resolved in Hill County Justice Court by Judge Audrey Barger in April.

Roger Francisco Cruz Jr., born in 1986, was fined $600 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 176 days suspended and four credited, for operating a vehicle with .08 percent blood alcohol concentration or greater, first offense, amended from driving under the influence, first offense; was fined $350 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, six days suspended and four credited, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance in effect, second offense; and was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for selling or providing alcohol to people under 21 years old.

Gabriel Lewis Lawrence, born in 1969, was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and one credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Richard F. Lindeman, born in 1971, was fined $2,500 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 335 days suspended and one credited, for operating a vehicle with .08 percent blood alcohol concentration or greater, third offense, amended from DUI, third offense.

Settimo Landell Gregori, born in 1978, was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 days suspended and one credited, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

Laurencia Madie Cochran, born in 1992, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

——

Mindy Allison Helfant, born in 1973, forfeited $250 bond for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

——

Cordale Cheyenne Beard, born in 1998, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for driving without a valid driver’s license, has never possessed one.

Jacyne Rae Bill, born in 1991, was fined $200 for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

——

Isaac Dale Wardell, born in 1986, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

——

Spencer Cole Russette, born in 1977, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

——

Michael Paul Mithlo, born in 1978, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 for criminal possession of marijuana, first offense.

Jordan J. Waldner, born in 1995, forfeited $125 bond for exceeding 34,000 pounds tandem axle weight limit.

——

Levi J. Waldner, born in 1993, forfeited $175 bond for exceeding 34,000 pounds tandem axle weight limit

——

Kathryn Margaret Coffey, born in 1985, was fined $1,500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, second offense.

Kenneth Richard Thompson, born in 1963, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 166 days suspended and two credited, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, third or subsequent offense, and was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 166 days suspended and two credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Steven Leroy Gibbs, born in 1966, forfeited $100 bond for failing to follow conditions and requirements of special permit.

——

Gavin John Mccollom, born in 1998, forfeited $120 bond for speeding on noninterstate road, 93 mph in a 70 mph zone.

——

Nathan Ryan Presnell, born in 1990, forfeited $100 bond for no, bad, or inadequate load securement.

——

Brian Arthur Robertson, born in 1957, forfeited $100 bond for log not being current.

——

Jarail Elijah Smith, born in 1991, was sentence to 180 days in jail, 173 days suspended and seven credited, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

——

Jamie Leigh Swick, born in 1981, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 176 days suspended and four credited, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

——

Steven Todd Simonson, born in 1963, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for speeding on noninterstate roadway, 114 mph in a 70 mph zone.

Jasmine Shay Demontiney, born in 1996, was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 176 days suspended and four credited, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

Eli Jacob Hinebauch, born in 1993, forfeited $100 bond for failing to follow conditions and requirements of special permit.

——

Ran Levy, born in 1975, forfeited $250 bond for 14-hour driving rule violation — property carriers.

Judge Barger also dealt with 34 tickets resulting in fines of less than $100 or jail sentences of fewer than seven days, and she or the prosecution dismissed 40 charges. Barger transferred 10 citations to another court, issued 12 search warrants and held 16 probable cause hearings for cases out of her jurisdiction. Additionally, seven suspended sentences or deferred impositions of sentencing were revoked and reinstated, three citations were voided by the ticketing agency and one probation and parole violation went before the judge.
