    George Ferguson|Updated Apr 9, 2019

For me, golf season really doesn't begin until June. That's because right now, I'm living in the tennis coaching bubble. For many others, though, golf season is already in full swing. And as my thoughts turn to the links, especially with this being Master's Week, I'd be remiss if I didn't say that, this spring, summer and fall is going to be different on the golf course, and that's because, it will be missing someone very special. This past winter, the golf world, and in...

  • Battling Back in the Spring

    Chris Peterson|Updated Apr 9, 2019

Nothing can derail a college football career faster than an injury, and for Montana State University-Northern wideout Jake Horner, he is hoping the exact opposite proves to be true. When a player gets hurt, things will usually go one of two ways. The player will either rehab, recover and find his place on the team again or the injury will nag or linger and, somehow, things just aren't the same. It happens all the time and the latter probably ends up being true more often....

  • Letter to the Editor - Upset about actions in Congress

    Updated Apr 9, 2019

Editor, I am upset by the cruelty of those in Congress who would allow a born-alive baby to die. But also by those who promise us a “fantastic” health care plan that we will have to wait 20 or more months to see. I would like to suggest they each, try to live for a year on $20,000 a year or less, and cope with life at that level. Would they be more sympathetic with us? Margaret Gill Havre...

    Updated Apr 9, 2019

As a Montanan, veteran, and state senator, I am proud to sponsor Senate Bill 300 — a bill that protects property rights. The bill would create a grandfather clause for owners in HOAs to keep only their most basic property rights that were permitted when they bought their properties. This grandfather clause is similar to the grandfather clauses in code in 37 states and in Montana’s own zoning laws. Currently in our state, HOAs and condo associations are depriving individual Montanans and families of their constitutional pro...
