SHIRLEY HESS, Obituary

HORSESHOE BEND, Idaho Shirley M. Hess, 64, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at her home due to pancreatic cancer, with her husband and children by her side.

A memorial service was held Saturday at Horseshoe Bend High School Gymnasium.

Shirley was born May 31, 1938, in Havre to Seagle and Myrtle Finley.

In 1958, she married Gene Hess. They moved to McCall, Idaho, where they began their life together. In 1969, they moved to Horseshoe Bend.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Seagle and Myrtle Finley.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Hess; daughters, Diane (Rick) Grint and Genie (Ron) Burk; son, Don (Debbie) Hess; brothers, Dell (Deloris) Finley of Billings and Don (Pauline) Finley of Columbia Falls; sister, Evelyn (Stan) Merriman of Belt; mother-in-law, Elsie Miller of Nampa, Idaho; four granddaughters; three stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
