School board seeks levies for bleachers, other improvements

The Havre school board will ask voters in May to approve levies to pay for building improvements.

The board wants $555,000 for a new heating and ventilation system at Lincoln-McKinley school. It will ask property owners in the Havre elementary district to approve a $185,000 levy for three years to pay for the project.

The board also wants $740,000 for three projects for the high school. The money would be used for putting new insulation and windows on Havre High School, replacing the seats in the high school auditorium...
