SANDRA BURRINGTON obituary

Sandra Yvonne Burrington, 57, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at a Havre hospital due to complications from cancer.

Sandra was born Nov. 18, 1945 to Raymond L. and Lilly (Gilbert) Deeds in Vallejo, Calif. Sandy attended schools in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1964.

After High School, Sandy attended Northern Montana College for one year and then transferred to Billings, where she studied business/secretarial.

In 1966 Sandy married Henry Moore. The couple moved to Memphis, Tenn., and they had a daughter, Twila. Henry died of cancer and Sandy and Twila moved back to Havre to be near family. Sandy worked at the hospital in the medical records department.

She later married James Burrington and the couple had a daughter, Jessica. Sandra and Jim later divorced. Sandra liked to keep busy and enjoyed working. She worked at Call Solutions for the last two years of her life until her illness prevented her from doing so.

Sandy enjoyed the outdoors, especially the Bear Paw Mountains and Beaver Creek Park. She liked to camp, fish, listen to music and dance. She loved to complete crossword puzzles and was very good at them. Sandy liked to plant flowers. Her most enjoyed time was spent with her family, most importantly her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Deeds, and her first husband, Henry Moore.

Sandra is survived by her parents, Dwayne and Lilly Kretchmer of Havre; daughters, Twila (Robert) Inman of Conrad and Jessica Burrington of Havre; sisters, Deanna (Charles) Hale of Havre and Jody and (Duane) Skoyen of Chinook; half sisters, Linda May (Patrick) Parker of Burnsville, Minn., and Jo Ann (James) Pinski of Great Falls; brother, Matt (Rose) Kretchmer of Havre; four grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Viewing was 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and 9 to 11a.m. today at the Holland and Bonine Chapel. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Rev. Rowlie Hutton officiating. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the service.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
