NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Charlotte Ann (Green) Perry, 65, of North Haven, Conn., died on Saturday, June 21, 2003.

The wake will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT. A funeral service will be held at 10

a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Cabrini Church, 56 Pond Hill Road, North Haven, Conn., with burial to follow at St. Thomas' Cemetery in Southington, Conn.

Charlotte was born on Aug. 7, 1937, in Havre to the late Leslie and Frances (O'Neil) Green. Leslie and his son Richard Green ran the Valley Dry Cleaners for many years.

Charlotte grew up in Havre and graduated in the Havre High School class of 1955. She attended college at Northern Montana College for two years and then the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn.

She was a second generation Havre native, her grandparents having settled here in the late 1800s. She lived in Connecticut for the last 40 years, but was always a Western girl at heart and "back home" always meant Havre.

She met her husband Dick (Dominic) Perry, of Southington, Conn., while he was stationed at the Air Force in Havre in 1957. They both "had other fish to fry" and Charlotte left town to attend college in Minnesota and later to work for the CIA in Washington, D.C. They were married six years later on Sept. 2, 1963, when Dick, after pursuing her in a courtship that spanned three states and six years, finally convinced her to say "yes" and move to Connecticut.
