ALICE LIVINGSTON Obituary

Alice Livingston, 88, of Havre died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place. Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gail Wheatley officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the memorial service.

Alice was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Glasgow to Victor and Mabel (Johnson) Archambeault. She was raised and educated in Glasgow. She graduated from high school in 1935. She then moved to Spokane, Wash., to attend cosmetology school and became a beautician.

She worked in Spokane for two years and met her husband, Delbert. They were married Sept. 10, 1936. The couple later moved to Fort Peck, where Alice worked until moving to Havre after the war. Alice operated a beauty salon, Alice & Ruby's, in the Fair Hotel. She later moved her salon to her basement, where she worked for 30 years.

Alice enjoyed crocheting and playing bridge. She loved her church and all of her friends.

Alice was a member of the Eagles, V.F.W. Auxiliary and St. Mark's Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert in 1991; and brothers, Lewis, Bill and Jim Archambeault.

Survivors include her son, Bob Livingston of Havre; daughter, Mary Lou Shaffer of San Clemente, Calif.; granddaughters, Cara Hammond, Cindy Kane and Camie Smith, all of Havre; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Alice's honor may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
