DENVER LEE BUCKMAN obituary NESPELEM, Wash.

Denver Lee Buckman, 34, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007. His cause of death has not yet been determined and is currently under investigation by the coroner's office in Nespelem.

Denver's wake service was Saturday at the Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy, Mont., with his funeral service scheduled for 10 a.m. today, also at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church. On Nov. 23, 2007, Denver returned to his home in Havre to his Chippewa Cree roots and will be laid to rest at the Rocky Boy Reservation Cemetery in Rocky Boy. Denver was born in Havre, Mont., on Sept. 25, 1973 to Charles Buckman and Roberta Favel. He was raised and educated in Nespelem and Fort Hall, Idaho. He married Christine Willard in 1988 and had three children. Denver loved his family and friends. He was a talented artist and loved drawing and riding horses. Denver was preceded in death by his daughter; Cheyenne Buckman in 2004. Denver is survived by his wife, Christine Buckman of Fort Hall, Idaho, children, Robert, Champain and Jaecie Buckman all of Fort Hall; Dashawn Buckman of Spokane, Wash; and Dante Buckman of Omak, Wash .; his parents, Charles Buckman of Electric City, Wash. And Roberta Favel of Elmer City, Wash .; sisters, Angie Buckman of Lawrence, Kan .; Summer Buckman of Lewiston, Idaho; Rachel Messerly of Fort Belknap, Mont .; Dana Bear of Fort Belknap, and Liz Ellis of Olympia, Wash., brother Tony Matt of Fort Belknap; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
