THERESE RICE obituary

Therese (Terry) Rice, 82, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

Her memorial service will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. Memorials in Therese's honor may be made to the Eagles Manor or to a charity of your choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Terry was born to Jay and Corrine Scanlon on June 7, 1927, in Oswego, N.Y. She moved to Montana at the age of 21 and met and married Fred Rice of Big Sandy on Oct. 17, 1953. They were married 51 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; one brother; two sisters; and one granddaughter. Terry is survived by her children: Connie (Tom) Bloch of Williston, N.D., Kathy (Harold) Hedman of Minature, Neb., Fred (Becky) Rice of Butte, Mont., Sandi (Ed) Cuerth of Alberton, Mont., Ken (Faith) Rice of Moccassin, Mont. And Ed (Arleen) Rice of Havre, Mont.; 20 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren; one brother, Bud Scanlon; and three sisters, Agnes Schneider, JoAnne Morrel and Sally Farden, all of New York.
