JEROD DOYLE obituary

Jerod Doyle, 34, died on Dec. 15, 2009, at Billings Clinic due to an accident at the Laurel Airport in Laurel, Mont.

Jerod was born on May 4, 1975, in Havre to Patrick and Gail (Russell) Doyle. He was raised in the Turner area and graduated from high school in 1993. Jerod attended college at MSU-Billings from 1993 to 1995. He then moved to Havre to work in his father's aircraft maintenance shop from 1995 to 1997. There he worked to acquire his A&P mechanic's license. In 1997, Jerod moved to Minot, N.D., and worked as an aircraft mechanic and line pilot for Pietsch Aviation. He flew and built up time to earn his airline transport pilot license and worked to ear earn a bachelor's in aeronautical science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Jerod married Darci Slade of Malta, on May 27, 2000. In 2001, they moved to Minneapolis, Minn., where Jerod flew as a commercial airline pilot for Mesaba Airlines. In February 2003, Jerod and Darci were able to move back to Montana to be closer to family and friends. He had the opportunity to be based out of Billings, flying corporate jets for the fractional airline Flight Options LLC based out of Cleveland. Jerod owned and operated J&D aircraft, doing business as, Big Sky Aircraft in Laurel, Mont., from July 2009 until his death, working as an aircraft mechanic. Jerod is survived by his wife, Darci Doyle of Billings; son Ryan Patrick, 4; daughter, Alison Rae, 17 months; mother, Gail Doyle of Dallas; brother, Jeffrey (Kara) Doyle, both of Billings; paternal grandmother, Ethel Doyle of Turner; maternal grandmother, Opal Russell of Montrose, Ark.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends throughout the northwest. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Doyle, in December 2000; brother, Jason Doyle in October 1988; and his two grandfathers. Memorial funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at 1 p.m. in the Turner High School gymnasium, with burial to follow at the Turner Cemetery.
