FRANCES D. GROSS obituary

Francey ascended the stairway to heaven as the sun was setting on March 11, 2010. She spent her last days with many loved ones around her. Frances D. Gross was born to Olga and Hugh Carroll Gross, at the fami ly home near Fairview, N.D., on Aug. 29, 1924. She was the fourth of seven children. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Willow City, N,D. She later married and spent many enjoyable years with Emil Lewison in Havre, Mont. Francey moved to Billings three years ago, along with her little dog, Sugar. Francey was a beautiful, caring and spirited lady. She loved a good time be it with family or friends. One of her great pleasures in life was playing the piano, which she continued to do until just recently. Francey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emil; her sisters Doris Gross and Delores Dolph; and her brother Loren (Bud) Gross. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Potter; and her brothers Ron (Gloria) Gross and Bob Gross; her brothers-in-law, Elbert Dolph and Bud Lewison; her nieces, Jeri Dickinson; Sandi Potter; Lynette and Cheryl Gross; her nephews, Larry and Mike Gross; Bill, Ken and Tom Potter and Gary and Jeff Gross. There are many other extended family members, including Kari, her great niece; and Tom Reiter of Billings, who visited her often. Tom and Francey could always keep the get-together lively. The staff at Primrose Place deserves special thanks for the care they gave Francey. Cyndi, Ida, Corrie (Orky), Brenda, Pam, Lena, Dee, Hunter (Roscoe) and previous staff, T.J. (Big Daddy) and Traci Lynn made the quality of Francey's life wonderful for nearly three years and they were with her through the end. Francey was always "at home," loved, protected and so well cared for. Thanks to all of them she became part of the "Primrose Family." The family would also like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice for their kindness and care shown to Francey during her last weeks. Until we meet again, Francey, a part of us has gone with you. Arrangements through Dahl Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bowman, N.D.
