I was delighted to read your article in last Monday's paper ("Novel by Native American writer will be movie," page 2, Feb. 15), discussing the fact that James Welch's classic novel, "Winter in the Blood," about north Montana is being filmed as a movie at last. The movie is long overdue. The movie rights were held for years by a company, who could never really decide how to go with the screenplay. Apparently, they finally gave up and sold the rights to a company that is pushing along with the project.
