Offers reward for info on hit-and-run

On Valentine's Day morning, Feb. 14, and in broad daylight, a vehicle slammed into my pickup, which was parked in front of my residence on Ridge Road. The collision caused significant body damage to the front end of my pickup. My pickup, parked in gear, was pushed backward nearly two feet by the impact, resulting in transmission damage, as well. I heard the crash and saw the vehicle through my window while it was still in contact with my vehicle. Before I could exit my house to assess the damage to my vehicle or talk to the driver, the vehicle backed away from my pickup and drove away. There was no doubt that the hit-and-run driver knew they had caused significant damage to my pickup. The hit-and-run vehicle was an older, white Jeep Wagoneer/Cherokee or similar type vehicle with the new blue and white Montana plates. The plate number began with a 12 for Hill County. The Havre police department is investigating the crime. A reward of $200 will be awarded to the person who identifies the owner and/or driver of this vehicle. Information may be forwarded to me at my home, 265-7530 or at work, 357-2269, or to my e-mail at slonaker_1999@yahoo. Com. Dick Slonaker Havre
