Julia Katherine Bliss, 82, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes. Her wake service will begin 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with her funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Rocky Boy Catholic Church, with Father Pete Guthneck officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Havre. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Julia was born April 8, 1928, in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Pat and Carrie (Yellowtail) Peeper. She was raised and educated in Rocky Boy. She had five children. She was an exceptional person who always lent out a helping hand to those less fortunate than her. She had a compassionate heart and people trusted Julia with everything. She loved her family unconditionally.

She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, attending powwows and traveling to Canada to see her relatives. She was an avid reader, especially mysteries. She liked to watch western movies and in her later years, television. She loved her family, but had a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren. Julia enjoyed telling stories to her family about the good ol' days and was an excellent cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Pat and Carrie Peeper; her stepmother Grace Peeper; her husbands, Charles Wright, Ernie Bliss and Jim Inman; her daughter, Karen Marie Wright Converse; her son, Leslie Gordon Wright; grandson, Robert M. Lester IV, granddaughters; Debbie Wright and Lorena Johnson; her sisters, Doris Bahr and Nancy Two Teeth/LaMere; and her brothers, Clifford Stump and George Flea.

Julia is survived by her sons, Eugene C. Wright of Great Falls, Mont., and Byron K. Wright of Havre, Mont .; her daughter, Laura L. (Mike) Wright Prochaska of Havre, Mont .; her sister, Alice Songer of Helena, Mont .; her brother, Robert Oats of Havre, Mont .; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
